Skiing/Snowboarding
Längenfeld makes a perfect base for unlimited winter sports holidays in the neighboring ski areas of Sölden and Obergurgl, located in the upper Ötztal valley. Sölden is known as the ultimate winter sports resort, host village of the Alpine Ski World Cup and one of Europe's most renowned ski and snowboard centers. The skibus shuttle is running between Längenfeld and Sölden (12km) on a regular basis, all day long.

Cross Country Skiing
The wide open basin of Längenfeld at 1,200m above sea level is a perfect spot for cross-country skiing enthusiasts. 60 km of immaculate, quality-sealed nordic tracks await you here! Skating and classic-style. A huge area in the valley bottom features the region's most scenic cross-country skiing tracks for all levels and abilities. Avid nordic skiers can choose from 60km of perfectly groomed tracks, among them 20 km of skating trails.

Tobogganing
Enjoy a wonderful winter walk to one of the quaint mountain huts and return down to the valley on a toboggan. After a hearty snack you are ready for the adventurous ride.

Ice Skating
Ice-skating is more than simple endurance training. It is one of the healthiest sports as it is good for your blood circulation and provides your body with a sufficient amount of oxygen. There is a skating rink next to the Camping Ötztal.

Winter Hiking
In Längenfeld hikers lace up their boots also in winter. They are strongly recommended to explore the 40 km of cleared winter hiking paths leading right across the winter wonderland. Stepping on freshly fallen snow, racing down the toboggan run, discovering the beauty of unspoilt nature covered all in white. The Ötztal valley offers unlimited walking and hiking through meadows and forests far away from busy tourist centers.

Ice Climbing
Ice climbing on a natural waterfall is possible on the way to Burgstein where the old federal road starts.
Four certified mountain guides will show you all the little secrets of this fascinating sports. Ice climbing makes a truly unique experience for passionate mountain fans.

Snowshoeing
Snowshoeing is ideal when the weather does not entice you to go skiing, when the slopes are too crowded or if you simply would like to see the natural beauty of winter. Snowshoeing is THE new trend in winter sports - walking on the snow is easy, hardly a sound is carried over the snow-covered winter wonderland and it is especially loved by those who do not consider themselves very sporty as walking through deep snow on snowshoes only requires a small amount of skill.
